Ryan Curtis appointed to Architectural Engineering Industry Advisory Committee for University of Nebraska
Committee enhances education for engineers
Ryan Curtis, PE, EDAC, LEED AP BD+C, has been appointed to the Architectural Industry Advisory Committee (AEIAC) at the University of Nebraska. He will serve a three-year appointment.The committee exists to provide continual input between the academic community and the always-advancing architectural engineering industry.
The Advisory Board is made up of engineering professionals in the building industry from across the country and of various engineering disciplines.Committee members review curriculum with faculty and provide input on current and future class offerings, discuss accreditation requirements and provide input on the skills needed within the industry. Committee members will meet with students from freshmen to graduating master’s degree students to learn about their experiences in the program and provide the school with feedback based on student input.
Curtis becomes the third LEO A DALY engineer to receive an appointment since the committee was formed, previous three-year appointments have been served by Nancy Melby, PE, SE, LEED AP, and Kimberly Cowman, PE, LEED AP, HCDP.
