In an effort to recover from the ravages of Hurricane Katrina, Biloxi Medical Center and Gulfport facilities selected LEO A DALY in a joint venture with Blitch Knevel Architects in New Orleans, to provide consolidation, planning, and design services for new facilities. These facilities include an 180,000-SF clinic/inpatient addition, 10,000-SF clinic renovation, 64-bed mental health unit with specialty units for acute care, geriatric, and chemical dependency, a 58,000-SF blind rehabilitation center, a nursing care unit, long-term care services with specialties in dementia and acute care and support facilities, a 120-car parking structure, and utility plant addition.
