Omni Amelia Island Resort
Dubbed a “re-imagination” by Omni, LEO A DALY’s renovation at the Omni Amelia Island Resort includes a redesigned lobby, restaurants, guestrooms, gift shop and conference and ballroom spaces. The lobby features dramatic floor-to-ceiling ocean views with the eye immediately drawn to a light fixture mimicking driftwood. The design of the reception desk is reminiscent of ocean waves crashing on the sandy beaches located directly off the hotel patio.
In addition to remodeling the resort’s seven existing restaurants, designers assisted in the addition of a collection of new, more diverse dining experiences. “Seaglass” contains a comfortable lounge area with plush furniture of soothing beige and soft goods with pops of vibrant, sunset orange. A new poolside, open-air restaurant offers a relaxing oceanfront atmosphere. Natural light highlights the neutral color palette of light cream and beige with a bright, sky-blue pop of color. The high, exposed-beam ceiling adds a sense of space with a pavilion feel.
Guestrooms are reminiscent of a beach-house, with a sandy color palette, wicker furniture accents, bright white cabinetry and light wood flooring. A newly renovated off-site restaurant features colors of the sea with bright greens and blues and medium brown rustic wood accents in both ceiling beams and a dividing wood plank wall.
