Jaime Sobrino elevated to FAIA

Fellowship is the highest honor given to an AIA member

Jaime E. Sobrino, Director of Operations in our West Palm Beach studio, has been elevated to a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA). Fellowship is the highest honor given to an AIA member, bestowed in recognition of exceptional work and contributions to architecture and society over a sustained period of time. Only three percent of AIA members achieve the FAIA distinction.

Jaime has been recognized as Fellow for his leadership efforts as an AIA member and as a professional architect. He has initiated and enriched organizational innovation at the national, state and local levels of the AIA through strategic leadership, unique public awareness campaigns and mentorship.

Jaime has dedicated his leadership to making a difference for the profession, architects, emerging professionals and for communities where he has lived. Among his many efforts, he has held key leadership positions throughout his professional trajectory, effectively impacting every organization for which he has worked.

He also championed leadership programs for young architects and worked closely with AIA members in the Caribbean, providing recovery effort assistance following Hurricanes Irma and Maria. You can learn more about the new Fellows on the AIA’s website.
