Michael has a nationally recognized career in historic preservation and restoration of civic, public and academic facilities. He is a strong organizer, facilitator and collaborator with the ability to align diverse interests and perspectives. He has planned, designed and led projects across the United States, spoken at local and national conferences and provides leadership in non-profit and preservation organizations.

Michael is involved in the University of Minnesota College of Design as an adjunct faculty professor and adjunct faculty leadership committee member, and was a Dean Search Committee member.
