Civil Designer Jon McCarville joins Leadership Sarpy

Engineer will join other developing leaders for nine-month program to gain insights to economic development, government and community.

Civil Designer Jon McCarville has been accepted to the prestigious Leadership Sarpy program for developing leaders in Sarpy County, Nebraska. The nine-month program will involve interactive sessions that give exposure to the key challenges and opportunities of the county. Diverse topics give insight to economic development, quality of life, local and state government, volunteerism, crisis management and community awareness.

Each session encourages and inspires participants to reflect upon and develop their leadership potential in Sarpy County. Along the journey, participants establish long-lasting relationships with one another and become committed to enhancing the future of Sarpy County.

At the end of the program, Jon will join a smaller team from his class to develop a Legacy Project that they implement in the community. The projects aim to leave a lasting, positive impact on Sarpy County. Past projects have included recycling initiatives and a sign revitalization program for public parks.
