Bill Kline joins LEO A DALY as managing principal in DC

Kline has over 30 years of experience leading design for governmental, cultural, healthcare and educational institutions

Bill Kline, AIA, has joined LEO A DALY to lead our Washington, D.C., studio as vice president and managing principal.

Kline has over 30 years of experience leading design and construction projects for governmental, cultural, healthcare and educational institutions worldwide. He joins LEO A DALY from SmithGroup, where he served as health studio leader and National Federal Health Marketing Coordinator. Prior to that, he served as an assistant construction manager on the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.

“Bill is a design advocate with an incredible combination of depth and diversity of experience. Our clients will benefit from his expertise, sensitivity to design, and infectious creativity. We are thrilled for him to lead our DC studio,” said Steven A. Lichtenberger, AIA, president of LEO A DALY.

Kline is a registered architect, with special interests in sustainability, evidence-based design and alternative delivery methods. He received his B. Arch from the University of Virginia and M. Arch from Princeton University. He is a frequently published author and speaker on architecture, and the recipient of more than 40 major design awards, including seven BD+C Team Awards.

Current and recent projects in LEO A DALY’s Washington, D.C., studio include the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport; the Corcoran School of the Arts & Design at George Washington University; the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland; Wilson School in Arlington, Virginia; Capital One in Georgetown, and 660 North Capitol Street, NW.
